Our core product is the carbon fiber PMI sandwich panel, which features a composite sandwich structure combining carbon fiber facings with a PMI closed-cell foam core. By integrating the performance advantages of these two high-end materials, it completely overcomes the performance limitations of traditional panels, offering multiple benefits such as lightweight construction, high strength, high-temperature resistance, and high stability. It is widely applicable to various high-end applications, including drones, high-end medical equipment, rail transit, radar-transparent equipment, and precision tooling.


I. Extreme Lightweight Design: Reduced Load, Increased Efficiency


The core material consists of isotropic PMI closed-cell foam with extremely low density. Paired with high-strength carbon fiber facings, this design minimizes the panel’s self-weight while maintaining the overall structural load-bearing capacity. This effectively reduces the overall load on equipment, lowers operational energy consumption, and enhances operational flexibility and service life.


II. Superior Mechanical Properties and Structural Stability


The carbon fiber panels possess ultra-high tensile, flexural, and compressive strength, providing the core rigidity of the panels; the PMI foam core efficiently transfers shear stress and restrains panel deformation and buckling. The synergistic interaction between the two ensures that the overall stiffness and stability of the sandwich panels far exceed those of single-material panels, resulting in greater load-bearing capacity and resistance to deformation and damage.


III. High-Temperature and Weather Resistance, Wide Range of Applications


PMI foam exhibits excellent heat resistance, withstanding high-temperature co-curing processes at 180–200°C. It can be integrally molded with carbon fiber materials, resulting in panels with high dimensional accuracy and minimal deformation after processing. Additionally, the material’s closed-cell structure ensures an extremely low water absorption rate, providing moisture resistance and resistance to aging, allowing for stable use in complex environments such as those with temperature fluctuations and high humidity.


IV. High Processability and Versatile Functionality


Standard sizes such as 400×500 mm and 500×600 mm, with thicknesses ranging from 2 to 10 mm, are available from stock. The product supports precision machining such as CNC precision milling, grinding, and thermal bending of curved surfaces, enabling the fabrication of various custom-shaped structures. It also features low dielectric constant, low radiation attenuation, and low-smoke, low-toxicity flame-retardant properties, meeting the requirements of specialized applications such as radar transparency, medical imaging equipment, and fire-resistant gear.
